3 groceries stores have said, “No Thanks” to Texas open-carry gun law.

Before you go open-carrying your smoke wagon everywhere, it’s helpful to see which businesses have decided to opt out of the new Texas law. Is that even allowed, to opt out? Of the three who have opt out of the new open-carry law, Wholefoods, Safeway, and HEB, HEB probably has the biggest impact in Texas. HEB has 350 stores in 150 different Texas communities. Before you get all hot and bothered, remember, you can still conceal your firearm at HEB. When it comes to open-carry in Texas, you were already allowed to open-carry rifles and shotguns, just not handguns. Apparently, handguns had been banned since sometime after the civil war. Not anymore! Open-carry all you want, just not in HEB, Wholefoods, and Safeway groceries stores.
