This seeems to be the season to sale or auction things off. Actor Charlie Sheen is auctioning off Babe Ruth’s 1927 World Series ring and an original copy of the sale document that sent The Babe to the Boston Red Sox. Supposedly setting off the curse of the Bambino. So far the bids for the ring have surpassed $600,000. The bid on the document have gone over $400,000. The auction ends Friday at Lelands.com. The Dance floor that helped spark the disco craze in the movie “Saturday Night Fever” starring John Travolta is going on sale this week. They’re guessing the lighted dance floor will go for one to one & A half million dollars. The movie helped kickoff Travolta’s movie career after starring in the TV show “Welcome Back Kotter.” The soundtrack to the movie is one of the best selling of all time. Travolta also starred in another movie with a huge soundtrack “Urban Cowboy.” Over the weekend items that belonged to Bonnie & Clyde went on the auction block including a three headed snake ring, a four page “So Long” letter pinned by the pair and a pair of Texas arrest warrants. If I had famous memorabilia I don’t know if I could part ways with it unless I was broke & needed the money. Plus I think I’d have better things to spend my money on. But if you have the money why not?
