Lightening Strikes Twice Twice

John Smedick Jr. of Connecticut bought two Cash 5 lottery tickets for last Friday’s drawing. He bought the second ticket because he couldn’t remember if he had purchased the ticket earlier in the day. The next day he found out there were two tickets that won the $100,000 prize and he had both of them. He says it’s the best mistake he ever made.

Cheyenne Long of Kalispel, Montana bought a Power Play Gold Crossword on July 1 and won $2,000. She later bought three more tickets at a different store and won another $75,000. Her take home after taxes $53,000 which she plans to use paying off bills. She’s also studying for a personal training certificate and hopes to become a pilot one day.

The Mega Millions is up to $340 million the next drawing is Friday night.
