It’s Veteran’s Day weekend. Tomorrow (Nov.11) is the parade honoring our Hometown veterans and veterans everywhere. If you know someone that has served or served yourself, come enjoy the parade downtown. It starts at 9am this year, starting at 11th & Polk to 5th & Harrison.
I’m an Army brat. My dad served for over twenty years. This is a picture of him when he was in Vietnam.
When we moved here, I was just two years old. I didn’t travel like my older siblings did, but I was born in Germany. Amarillo is home.
Some activities going on – 7am – 9am the Texas Honor Flight will have breakfast for $6 a plate or $9 all-you-can-eat. At the Tri-State Fairgrounds, in the Rex Baxter Building, from 1pm – 3pm FREE burgers and entertainment. sponsored by the VA Hospital. Amarillo Autoclean will honor all veterans and military personnel with a free car wash tomorrow (Nov. 11) from 8am to 7pm at 5810 S. Coulter.
If you’re a veteran who served or are active military now, THANK YOU.
