The “Together We Can” Food Drive with the High Plains Food Bank is this week at Market Street United at 26th & S. Georgia. The goal is to raise $200,000 and 150,000 pounds of food this holiday season. You can drop off non perishable food items through December 9th. Each day the High Plains Food Bank is asking for certain items. Today it’s peanut butter & jelly. Our sister station 100.9 The Eagle has a goal of 109 turkeys/$20 bills. Any combination of the two. You can also donate at the register at any United, Market Street, or Amigos in Amarillo, Borger, Canyon, Dalhart, Dumas, Hereford, Pampa, Perryton, or Plainview. The United Family will match contributions, up to $10,000. Items the food bank is always looking for include canned vegetables and meats, pasta, boxed dinners, rice, beans and peanut butter.
