Alan Jackson was on The Today Show and sat down with Jenna Bush Hager. The 62-year-old shared a diagnosis he’s known about for 10 years; Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. It’s a group of disorders that cause nerve damage and it affects his ability to move and keep his balance. He said he inherited the disease from his dad and it has affected several members of his family.

He is sharing his diagnosis now because I’m having a little trouble balancing in front of the microphone and I feel uncomfortable. I want people to know that’s why I look like I do.
