In the market for some incredible real estate? If so, I just might have the steal of a life time. The Amityville Horror house has been on the market for some time now. The good news is that the price is beginning to fall back to a more affordable price. From what I was reading, the price on the haunted house skyrocketed after the 2005 Ryan Reynolds movie. I’ve seen the film, not that good. Prior to 2005, the house sat empty with a going price just over $230,000. The home has not seen as cheap of a going price since 2010. This could be the best time to buy. Again, the idea that a family was massacred in the house still doesn’t sit well enough for me to ever have any itch to buy something with such a frightening past.
As the story goes, back in 1974 a father lost his mind and decided to hack up his family. The spirit of those souls is said to be wondering the halls at 108 Ocean Avenue, New York. The house is ginormous with over 3,000 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and a two car garage. Oh yeah, did we mention there are evil spirits who’ll harass you while you sleep and when you’re alone with nobody there to protect you. Oops! Looks like the real estate company forgot to mention those tiny, important details.
The real weird part about this story is when the mass murder happened back in 1974, a couple with a child and dogs bought the house, then ran out a month later because of in-explainable circumstances happening far too often. So I ask you, would you ever buy a so called ‘haunted house?’
