The Better Business Bureau Of Amarillo reminds you that requirements for returns or exchanges during the holidays can vary from store to store and end of year sales may affect the policies. There might be a limited timeframe to return items bought online. Check policies and dates with online retailers.

Keep receipts, gift receipts and product packaging. Take these items with you or include them with items returned by mail.
Understanding different return policies:

· An exchange limits you to trade your item for one of equal value. It does not mean you will get money or credit back. You may be able to receive store credit to use at a later date.

· Refund policies usually require a receipt and a form of ID. It may include a restocking fee if it was a specialty or seasonal item.

· Items bought as “All Sale Final” may apply to damaged, discontinued or “as-is” merchandise.

· Warranties and guarantees are usually offered by the manufacturer and not the retailer, although the retailer may help you with the warranty or guarantee.
