The Atlantic Beach Police Department in Florida are going above and beyond the call of duty by making sure Duval County citizens felt safer against the Corona Virus. These brave officers of the law posted a PSA to their Facebook page, If you have recently purchased illegal drugs “… it may be contaminated with the Corona Virus. Please bring the drugs to the police department and we will test them for free. If you’re not comfortable coming to the police department, we will send an officer to your house and they’ll test your illegal drugs in the privacy of your home!”

The Atlantic Beach Police Department aren’t the only ones giving this scheme a try, Tavares Police Department also in Florida, Montpelier Police Department in Indiana, the Johnson City Police Department in Texas,  and the Merrill Police Department of Wisconsin have posted as well. Not everyone thinks this is a matter to make light of but Merrill Police updated their post to acknowledge concerns. The update stated, “…So this attempt, although a long shot, still had some possibility behind it.”
