This happened about a month ago. A man by mistake left a box full on money on the bumper of his truck. The report I saw doesn’t say why the man had $30,000 in a cardboard box. The money fell onto U.S. 31 in Grand Haven, Michigan. Gives new meaning to the city’s name. Police are asking the public’s help for the return of the cash. It’s reported that $2,470 was recovered at the scene. A little more than $4,500 had been returned.
I can’t imagine losing that much money. How do you forget that much money in a box. I personally would have put it in the cab of my truck. Occasionally I’ll find a few dollars in the laundry but I’ve never lost a large sum of money except at a casino. I’ve said in the past sometimes when I get off the plane in Vegas I should just throw my money up into the air to get the same result from my trip.
