For the remainder of the school year all of Texas A&M’s teams will wear a helmet decal or or patch on their uniforms to honor former President George H.W. Bush. Bush died last Friday at the age of 94. His presidential library is located at Texas A&M and he’ll be buried there on Thursday next to his wife Barbara Bush and their daughter Robin.
The patch is based on the shield from the official President Bush 41 logo. It will be in the school’s colors of maroon and white and will be worn by the men’s and women’s basketball teams during their games.
The football team will wear the helmet decal when the Aggies play the North Carolina State Wolfpack in the Gator Bowl on December 31st.
