City Of Borger Approves Phase One Of $100 Million Sports Complex

The City of Borger approved a $100,000 payment by its EDC to 828 Sports Development Group for its new $100 million sports complex Tuesday.
While the original plan included indoor and outdoor courts, water park, hotel and other amenities, what was presented Tuesday appears to provide more space for local businesses.
The Boomtown Multidome Sports Complex was originally thought to involve a total price tag of $100 million. That appears to be the cost of phase one of the project.
City officials say the majority of the project will be funded by private sponsors and investors, and now involves five phases.
