The NFL regular season is over and there is plenty of off field news. Several clubs have fired their head coaches. In San Francisco the 49ers fired Chip Kelly after just one season and let go of general manager Trent Baalke. This comes on the heels of the team firing coach Jim Tomsula after he coached for just one season in 2015. During the 2016 season San Fran set a franchise record with 13 losses in a row. The Niners finished with a 2 and 14 record. Team CEO Jed York says despite his shortcomings you can’t fire the owner.

The San Diego Chargers are looking for a new coach after letting go of Mike McCoy. The team has asked permission to talk to Kansas City Chiefs special teams coordinator Dave Toub.

The Buffalo Bills are showing interest in Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich. You might remember back in the day Reich was the Bills backup quarterback to hall of famer Jim Kelly when he rallied the team to a 41-38 overtime victory over the Houston Oilers after they fell behind 35-3 in the AFC wild card game on January 3rd, 1983. The Bills fired Rex Ryan after two seasons with the team.

Last month the Los Angeles Rams fired Jeff Fisher a week after announcing he had signed a contract extension before the season began. The Jacksonville Jaguars are also looking for a new coach.

Just one year after winning a Super Bowl Denver coach Gary Kubiak retired because of health concerns .

There are some teams that are keeping their head coaches after disappointing seasons. The Cleveland Browns are staying the course with Hue Jackson after an 1 & 15 season. Team owner Jimmy Haslam says he feels the franchise is headed in the right direction but has a ways to go. Todd Bowles in New York with the Jets and John Fox with the Chicago Bears kept their jobs as did Marvin Lewis in Cincinnati and Chuck Pagano in Indianapolis.

What is all the noise about the New York Giants wide receivers Odell Beckham and Victor Cruz going to Miami to party at the nightclub LIV until at least 6 a.m. on their day off? Who cares? I question their choice of company Justin Bieber and Johnny Manziel. Other than that who cares?
