Last season with the emergence of linebackers Jaylon Smith and rookie Leighton Vander Esch, plus the injuries to Sean Lee you might of thought Lee had seen his last days as a Cowboy. You could see him on the sideline coaching up players. Lee was due to make $7 million this year with a $10 million salary cap figure. Lee and the Cowboys have restructured his contract. That means he’ll be a Cowboy this season. Lee will be guaranteed 3.5 million dollars. He could earn seven million dollars with the incentives.
I love when Lee plays. It’s the injuries that have limited his play since he entered the league. How awesome would it be if you could get Smith, Vander Esch and Lee on the field at the same time? Intense!
