Doctor Erased $650,000 of Cancer Patients’ Debt

This guy’s name should be “Dr. Santa.”

A doctor at the Arkansas Cancer Clinic sent out Christmas cards to nearly 200 patients, notifying them that they do not have to pay any of their outstanding debt. Dr. Omar Atiq said the decision was easy, especially after such a tough year.

“People have lost jobs,” Dr. Atiq said, “People have lost income. People are just in bad situations.”

All together, Dr. Atiq erased about $650,000 total of patient debt.
