Dolly Parton Earns Emmy Nod

Superstar Dolly Parton has earned more awards and accolades in her career than we can count, and she continues to add to them! When the nominees for this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards were announced this week, Parton was among them for her Netflix film Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square in the category for Outstanding TV Movie. The other nominees in the category include Uncle FrankSylvie’s LoveOslo, and Robin Roberts Presents: Mahalia.

This isn’t Dolly’s first Emmy nod. Last year, her film Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings: These Old Bones was nominated in the same category, as well as her 2017 NBC film Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love. In 1978, Dolly Parton earned her first Primetime Emmy nomination for her role in the TV special Cher…Special. As part of the special, Parton worked with both Cher and Rod Stewart, and performed her hit “Two Doors Down.”
