Elon Musk Wants To Build A New City In Texas Called ‘Starbase’

What’s Elon Musk’s latest scheme? Build his own city in South Texas called ‘Starbase.’

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO tweeted about his plan on Thursday. He has reportedly reached out to officials in Cameron County, Texas about expanding the small village of Boca Chica, where SpaceX currently conducts its test launches, into a full city. Creating a new city isn’t easy. Local residents would first have to sign a petition and hold an election to incorporate. But if Musk succeeded, Starbase would create its own laws and local regulations.
