New Jersey is now the last state in the country that bans drivers from filling their own gas tanks. This after Oregon allows people that live in counties with fewer than 40, 000 residents self serve. Some Oregon residents still don’t like the idea of filling up. They site they don’t like the smell of gas, they’re afraid of transients or they think it should be left up to someone that’s qualified to pump gas. Welcome to the real world. By the way there are approximately 10,000 people in New Jersey that work as pump attendants. Residents in the Garden State caught trying to pump their own gas for themselves could face a fine of between 50 and 250 dollars. Say What?
