It can’t be that easy to use a getaway car. Turns out it was not that easy. A man in New York used an Uber to get back home after allegedly robbing a Dunkin’ Donuts shop. Andrew Sandson is accused of handing a cashier a note that said he had a gun before demanding cash. Sandson never showed a weapon and walked out to his getaway car. The Uber driver took him home and had no idea the man committed a crime. A customer took down the license plate and the police used it to track down the Uber driver, then the suspect.
Sandson was expected to be formally charged today. No word if the driver received a tip for the ride home.
