For some of us, we don’t actually have a Valentine to get gifts from. No problem! Happy Un-Valentine’s Day!!
This is for the people who don’t have someone. Yes, it can get lonely, but only if you let it. Take yourself out to dinner! If you don’t like to eat alone, go to your favorite restaurant and order out. Take it home, sit in front of the TV and watch your favorite movie. You won’t have to wait in line to get a table. Plus, who can see in those restaurants when they dim the lights?
If you’re like me, a hopeless romantic, I like to watch the great classics. My favorite movie is An Affair To Remember. Here’s my go to list of romantic movies:
An Affair To Remember (Cary Grant & Deborah Kerr)
Last Holiday (Queen Latifah & LL Cool J)
Sabrina – both versions (Audrey Hepburn/Humphrey Bogart & Harrison Ford/Julia Ormand)
Under The Tuscan Sun (Diane Lane) it’s kinda a breakup movie, but there’s love
Eat, Pray, Love (Julia Roberts) This movie shocked me. I didn’t think I’d like it, but it real good.
But if you’re not for the warm and fuzzy type of movie, here’s a list for you to laugh with:
Girl’s Trip (Queen Latifah/Jada Pinkett-Smith/Regina Hall/Tiffany Haddish)
White Chicks (Shawn & Marlon Wayans)
As Good As It Gets (Jack Nicholson/Helen Hunt)
Make up your own play list of movies. If you’re missing out on a gift, go get something for yourself and enjoy.
I’ll be sitting in front of the TV watching a movie, eating some pasta, and drinking wine with my two dogs under my feet keeping me warm and fuzzy. And my may even splurge and get myself some peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream for dessert.
