Hart, Texas Man Killed In Two Vehicle Accident

41-year old Celso Garcia-Chingo of Hart was killed in a two vehicle accident Friday evening at the intersection of Farm-to-Market roads 168 and 145 in Castro County. Garcia-Chingo was one of four people in a 2013 Acura ILX that was eastbound on FM 145 when it collided with a south-bound 1999 Chevrolet Silverado on FM 168 driven by 36-year old Pedro Guardad of Amarillo. According to the Texas DPS, the Acura was driven by a 16-year old minor who failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection and was hit on the driver’s side by the pickup. The driver and three other passengers in the Acura as well as Pedro Guardad were transported to a Lubbock hospital where they were treated and released. The crash remains under investigation.
