There was once a time in my life when I would consider jumping on the human slingshot to be launched 300 feet into the air. Those days are past me now. Why, you ask? I’m not sure. I will tell you, the older I get the more worrisome I become over silly things. For example, every time I walk outside, I start looking for snakes. The last thing I would ever want to do is surprise anything slimy trying to catch some shut eye under my car or right outside my front door. Now, when I was a kid, the idea of me coming anywhere close to a snake was something that I didn’t think about. Now, I can’t go anywhere without thinking about the potential hazards in life. But, the good news, before I make myself sound like a wimp. I ride motorcycles! But riding a motorcycle is nothing close to this incredible Human slingshot.
I’m not a base jumper, never once pretended to know anything about parachuting or base jumping. My question, why would you jump into the human slingshot when you can jump off a mountain or building or something like that? I would have to assume that one of the greatest thrills is the ability to free fall. Now, again, i’m no skydiver, but I’m not too sure on the amount of time you have if you’re only being launched 300 feet into the sky? It seems like it would be easier and safer to jump off a much higher surface, mountain, building, bridge, etc…
I suppose these are the things that people build whenever they don’t live near a mountain, a tall building, or a bridge. Reminds me of a story I once read about a man who built his own golf course because he loved the game but lived out in the middle of no where. Who knows, this might be the same guy. So…are you interested in being launched 300 feet into the air? If so, this is definitely for you.
Unfortunately, I haven’t heard on whether or not this bad boy is on tour. If I hear of any stops here in town, I’ll let you know.
