Ingenuity Helicopter Successfully Completes First Flight On Mars

The Ingenuity Helicopter has officially completed its historic first flight on Mars.

It wasn’t much of a flight – the copter rose 10 feet in the air, hovered for a moment, then landed back on the surface – but it made history as the first-ever controlled flight in the Martian atmosphere. Ingenuity’s next flight will take place by April 22nd and include higher altitudes and some lateral movement.
