Not in the Headines: March 7

A farmer down in Australia recently found that one of his chickens laid a really big egg; so big in fact, that it was three times the size and weight of a normal chicken egg (bigger than the palm of your hand). When they cracked that egg open, they found a normal-sized egg inside it.

Police in England caught a van that was double the legal weight limit, and when the cops opened up the back doors they found 5,000 cans of beer. The van had been modified with some heavy duty springs, so they know this isn’t the first time the van’s been used for that purpose. Since the vehicle was 3,300 pounds over the legal weight limit, the driver will face charges. It’s funny to me that 80 years ago in the US we ran moonshine in muscle cars, and now in England they smuggle beer in vans.
