Not in the Headlines: August 9

A mom from Oklahoma City has gone viral on Reddit. She posted this wanted ad for a fat orange cat that she could borrow. It reads (in part), “Wanted: to BORROW an orange cat for 24-48 hours, to have a lasagna dinner with Garfield-loving 4-year-old and 2-year-old children… Cat will not be required to eat lasagna…” and was signed, “An increasingly desperate (but not crazy) mom-of-two with no friends that own orange cats.” Not sure if she found said cat, but nearly 80,000 people have upvoted the post on Reddit.

Police in Florida got into a chase on Monday in pursuit of a stolen car. The car thieves crashed in a ditch and fled on foot in different directions. The first was caught pretty quickly, but the other ran into a field of cattle. When she ran across the field the herd of cattle ran along after her, and wound up leading the officers straight to the thief. All they had to do was follow the cows.
