What’s it going to take for some people to stay home when they’re sick? I understand it’s hard to not go to work, but when you’re coughing and hacking, maybe you should stay home.
Over the weekend, I went out with my brother and his girlfriend Cindy to play some bingo. Cindy is a smoker, so we sat in the smoker’s section. There were a couple of people, who I heard saying that they weren’t in the best of health, sitting in the smoker’s section and coughing so much, one could barely catch their breath.
Why, if you’re not in the best of health, out in public sitting in a room where there’s a room full of smoke? That’s not good for you or anyone around you.
Around this time of the year, sickness can run rampant, especially colds and the flu. I know I can be a bit of a germ-a-fobe, but with good reason. I like to stay healthy as much as possible plus my immune system is a little compromised.
If you’re feeling a little under the weather take some precautions. Take some extra vitamin C, get some extra rest. Wash your hands often. But if you have a fever, stay home for sure. If you’re fever doesn’t go away, you may need to seek medical attention.
One sure way to make family, friends, co-workers, or strangers upset with you is if you share your germs.
Spread the love, but not the germs.
