Howdy! I’m Kaleb (Alias: Big Tex), and I’m what you might call a “country-boy millennial.” I was raised on a ranch by a great big family full of cowboys and farmers and the kind of rednecks you hear about in Jeff Foxworthy jokes. I grew up listening to country music on the radio of a ’78 Jeep CJ-7 while I was riding through the pastures feeding cattle with my dad, and after I failed two semesters of chemistry at WT I decided that a real job was overrated, and that I’d rather get a degree in broadcasting.
For reasons beyond my understanding the good Lord has seen fit to pair me up with an awesome wife who’s an amazing teacher and a dang good cook too. We’ve got three big lovable dogs that consider it their life’s goal to keep us safe from all the evil critters of the world while getting as many belly rubs as possible.
I’m a gear-head that loves to watch racing, and get dirty under the hood of an old firebird. Some of my happiest moments have been riding horseback through a pasture or sitting around campfires up in the mountains and down in Palo Duro Canyon. And, when I can’t do that, I try to get in a game night with friends and family whenever possible.
If you hear me on the air, give me a shout! It’s my job and my joy to play the tunes that make your day-to-day a little happier, and I love getting to know my listeners.
