When you were growing up did your parents have sleep over rules? I can’t remember my parents or others ever having any rules. When we were living in El Paso my mom told me and my twin sister Peggie we could invite 6 guest each. My sister invited 6 girls and I invited 5 girls and my best friend. There were 12 first grade girls and two boys. That was the last birthday party we ever had because of all the screaming girls. I remember me and my friend having a good time.
There’s a mom in England that has kids sign a contract with her before they stay at her house.
Rule number one: Touching/tickling of other people will result in immediate physical separation that could remain in place until pickup time. This means we keep our hands to ourselves and off of each other.
Rule number two: Changing of clothes will be done independently and in private space with the individual not in company of anyone else. This means no nudity in front of anyone else, whatsoever.
Rule number three: Disruptions including excess volume of voice or electronics will result in suspension of such privileges. This means no shouting, interrupting or blasting the TV or iPad.
and rule number four: Complaining will not be tolerated. Constructive requests are encouraged in a calm, polite tone of voice. This means, you wait to have my attention and acknowledgement before you start speaking to me.
The kids have to sign the contract before staying at the woman’s house acknowledging the rules. The threat is there of never being allowed to stay at the woman’s house in the future without further consideration.
