Snowplow Driver Finds 5-Year-Old Who Wandered Away In Cold

A Milwaukee-area snowplow driver is credited with saving a 5-year-old boy who had wandered away from his home in subzero temperatures.

It happened around 4:00 last Friday morning. David Gehrke said the weather was miserable as he spotted something on the road that he first thought was maybe a dog. It turned out to be a young boy wearing only pajamas…no shoes, no hat, no coat. Gehrke quickly turned his truck around and scooped up the little guy and called police. Officers say the boy thought he was home alone so he left to walk to his grandpa’s house.
