Who knew that there is an art to asking someone out. An actual strategy you can use to get someone to say “yes”.
Expert, Dr. Chloe Carmichael says the key is to think of something you’d already be doing anyway. She explains that this way you’re basically saying, “I’m doing fun, cool things and giving you an opportunity to be part of them,” without applying pressure.
She recommends keeping this activity under 90 minutes. As the higher the risk, the higher your chances of being turned down. Her example, “Hey, there’s a new sushi place opening up. I’m thinking of trying it on Thursday. Want to join?”
This is an interesting strategy. Have you ever used a strategy like this to ask someone out? Would you use it?
