Tim McGraw Gets Tom Hanks Caregiver Champion Award!

Tim McGraw will receive the Tom Hanks Caregiver Champion Award.

The award comes from the Elizabeth Dole Foundation.

Reflecting on the award Tim said he learned about the caregiving community from taking care of his late father Tug McGraw. His father died in 2004 from brain cancer. Tim created the Tug McGraw Foundation to improve the quality of life for children and adults with debilitating neurological brain conditions like brain tumors, traumatic brain injury, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Tom Hanks has done some amazing things for people and cancer rings very close to home with him because his wife Rita Wilson is a cancer survivor.
