Too much Cash is what an alleged bank robber told the teller at a Wells Fargo in Boca Raton, Florida. On Monday Sandy Hawkins handed the teller a note that read, “Give me $1,100. Now, No Alarms, Hope to get caught.” The teller counted out $2,000 and Hawkins told him to take some of the money back. Hawkins then left the bank with the $1,100. He was wearing a “Make America Great Again” t-shirt during the robbery. Hawkins was later identified by the manager of a nearby sports bar he frequents as the robber.
On Tuesday Hawkins confessed when the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies showed up at his door. He reportedly told them, “I will make this easy.” He was arrested and charged with the crime.
Only in Florida.
