“Who’s my favorite leading man?” Well, I love to watch classic movies – old Hollywood movies to be exact. There’s just something about that era, that makes me appreciate what Hollywood used to be like. And in my opinion, needs to be like again.
Cary Grant has to be my leading man. I fell in love with him and his movies after watching “Father Goose.” There was something about the way he talked and carried himself. To me, he got better with age. From his first movies to his last, he was my favorite.
But there have been others I like as a leading man as well. Sam Elliott, with his deep voice and charm. Sean Connery is another favorite. He plays a king very well in “First Knight.” Jimmy Stewart in several movies like “Rear Window”, “The Glenn Miller Story” which is my favorite with him in it.
There are leading men in later movies as well that I like. I do like Hugh Grant in “Notting Hill”. Harry Connick Jr. in “Hope Floats”. Brad Pitt in “Meet Joe Black.” Denzel Washington in a bunch of movies. LL Cool J in “Last Holiday” and NCIS LA. But mostly, Cary Grant has my heart as a leading man.
