It’s like trying to win the lottery but the odds are against you according to Martin Knabenreich, Bielefeld, Germany’s city marketing director. Knabenreich says he’s 99.99 percent sure you can’t prove the city does not exist. Bielefeld is a city with a population of 340,000 and has been around for 800 years. For the past 25 years the city has been the subject of jokes and conspiracy theories suggesting that it doesn’t actually exist and it’s just an illusion.
The Mayor of Bielefeld has offered a prize of 1.1 million dollars if you can prove the city does not exist. You have to hurry with your evidence. The deadline to prove the city is non existent is September 4th.
As a kid I lived in Germany and I never heard of Bielefeld. Therefore it does not exist. Do I win?
