Coming Attraction: The Leonid Meteor Shower

There’s about to be a spectacular show high in the sky. The Leonid meteor shower is coming up, bringing with it a dazzling display of shooting stars.

It happens about this time every year, when the Earth passes through the trail of dust shed from the comet Tempel-Tuttle. Scientists say you can catch the Leonids starting Friday through the end of November, with a peak in the late evening of November 16th. You can learn more about the Leonid meteor shower right here.
