Convicted Felon Sentenced to 25 Years

46-year-old Nathan Collins was sentenced to 25 years in prison by the 320^th District Court. The sentence was handed down April 9.

Collins, a convicted felon, was found by Amarillo Police firing a gun towards Wonderland and Thompson Park July 4, 2022.

Officials say no one was injured, and by the time investigators discovered video of the incident, they were not able to recover the actual firearm.

Collins was still on probation at the time for a past felony conviction, making it illegal for him to possess a firearm for five years.
