DPS Troopers Compete

The Texas Department of Public Safety held a competition for DPS Troopers in Amarillo on Wednesday.

Texas DPS’s Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division held this year’s Northwest Region CVE Challenge at the Rex Baxter Exhibit Building.

Troopers were tested on the skills they use, to enforce state and federal laws.  The Troopers were given time limits to test their knowledge and skill testing  their roadside enforcement or at inspection stations where they normally do their job, 

The competition leads to a chance to compete in the North American Inspectors Championship.
