Jimmie Allen Shares Story Behind New Song

Before Jimmie Allen was the country star he is today, he got some sound advice from his parents.

“There’s more than one way to spread your name and who you are in country music,” Allen told CMT. That advice has carried him through his career. Allen dedicated his performance of his new single Down Home to his late father on Monday night’s ACM Awards.

Allen also co-hosted the show along with Gabby Barrett and country legend Dolly Parton.
