Mayor, Council Schedule Special Meeting Morning of March 26 To Discuss City Charter

A meeting appears to be set for 8:30 a.m. Tuesday the 26th during which the mayor and city council will discuss the City Charter. The meeting will allow the council to study and share aspects of the charter that were thrust into the spotlight in recent weeks.

Former Interim – now Deputy City Manager – Andrew Freeman recently called out some areas of the charter the city has operated under for years, but that might now need attention to bring it in line with what is mandated today.   

The confusion seems to be connected to at least two prior policies adopted in 2015 and 2019.
