The Natural Resources Conservation Service and Farm Service Agency are trying to figure out how to help producers and ranchers rebuild after the panhandle fires.

The idea in discussion between the two agencies is to offer tech and financial assistance to help in the recovery and rebuilding of what producers have lost.

Zach Ducheneaux, administrator at Farm Service Agency US Department of Agriculture. says, this is an investment in the future, the future of their operation, the future of these rural communities, and the future of food and nutrition security in this country.

He considers this a national defense issue to ensure producers recovering and back on their way to helping provide some of the most safe and, affordable food on the planet.

Officials are discussing why these programs are so important for the ag community after disaster strikes
