A teenager has been intentionally run over near Palo Duro High School on Monday.

Amarillo Police were called out to the incident at 6:45 p.m. on April 1st, on a report of a person being hit by a car.

On arrival, police found a teen had been purposefully hit by a Chevy Tahoe.

 Officers learned that two people had hooked up at Palo Duro to fight and one of the people involved drove away in the Tahoe.

The teen was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.

The suspect was shot by another person who came along to watch the fight.

Shell casings and the gun used were recovered.

The shooter has been identified and interviewed by police.

Thirty-five-year-old  Robert Scifries was found at a hotel and arrested. He was booked into the Potter County Detention Center for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The Violent Crimes Unit of APD is investigating.
