AFD crews tended to a two alarm fire in downtown Amarillo Wednesday evening.

That call was for a structure located at 206 Jackson Street. Crews from the central fire station located on South Van Buren say they noticed the smoke prior to getting the dispatch call at 6:40 p.m.

When crews arrived on scene, the abandoned building was fully involved, and the second alarm was issued at 6:44 p.m.  

The Amarillo Fire Department crews had that situation under control by 7 p.m.

No injuries were reported, and that fire is under investigation.
