Watch: George Strait Serenades His Wife On-Stage for Anniversary

There’s a reason George Strait is the King! This weekend, the King took the stage in Vegas for his second residency show on what happened to be his 50th wedding anniversary to his wife, Norma. George took a moment during the show to pause and pay tribute to his bride of 50 years-

“So I was 19 years old … and I knew this girl, Norma. She was 17, really hot,” Strait recounted, pausing in between sentences as the audience erupted into cheers. “We went to Mexico and eloped … 50 years ago today.” He then performed “I Cross My Heart,” one of his most romantic songs which went to number one in 1992.
