West Texas A&M University is launching a new degree in Human Resources.

The Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business’ new master of science in strategic human resource management plan will begin classes in fall 2024 after final approval by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

The new degree, which will align with the Society of Human Resource Management’s competency model for HR professionals, will be unique in the state with its focus on managers forming close partnerships with top management to achieve a firm’s strategic goals.

WT’s McCray Professor of Business, Doctor Rahun Chauhan says the program will be affordable and 100% online for people who want to boost their career or find a new career path.
