Clements Unit Guard Arrested

A Clements Unit prison guard has been arrested for taking a bribe to give an inmate a cell phone.

A Potter County indictment, says  33-year-old Robert Earsley took cash from two men in 2022 to break a law against taking prohibited items into a prison. The indictment says Earsley had a cell phone with the intent to give it to an inmate.

Both charges are considered felonies.

Earsley has posted bail and is out of jail.
