The Don Harrington Discovery Center has a couple of special events planned ahead of the upcoming solar eclipse.

In fact, one of those events is taking place now in the form of a planetarium show called Totally Over Texas which is serving as a lead-in to the celestial event.

Available in Spanish and English, Totally Over Texas offers historical insight into eclipses and the science behind them. Showtimes are 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. for the English shows, 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. for Spanish.

The DHDC will also host an eclipse viewing party, Monday April 8. The center will be open to the public 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The next celestial event like this will not occur again until 2045.

The planetarium shows are included with admission or DHDC membership.
